Adorable Animal LCD Monitor - HotSpotMama's New Find

Frienzoo LCD MonitorFrienzoo LCD MonitorBased on my research, these adorable animal LCD monitors have been selling in Japan for two years now. They are supposingly finally making their way to the US.

I wish I had seen them when I was doing my 6/1/06 article on TVs and humidifiers that came in animal shapes.

There are 10 variants of the LCD monitor, including frog, panda, rabbit, koala, and chicken. They have a 17 inch screen. I found a post from two years ago with the specs. I don't whether the details are still correct but here's the link.

Thanks to Engadget for letting us know that they are coming to the US market. Not that it helps most of us since the Frienzoo website is in Japanese, but here's the link to their website. Which one to get? I think I like the rabbit and the panda the best.

Well, since this whole site

Well, since this whole site is about stuff you can buy, I would agree its more stuff you can buy. LOL.

That's the whole point.

But I do agree with you that our society is sick from buying too much junk. Just my opinion.

Silly. Stupid. Junk. But fun.

Sure, it's more crap you can buy, and this may not float your boat, or anyones. But you know what? I love hearing about this kind of stuff. And all the other cool gadget, inventions, novel ideas, creative website and generaly "inspired" things that exist out there in the ether. And I think it's pretty cool that I can find lots of that stuff here on this site.

But one things very true. Collectively, we as parents, buy lots of crap that we should otherwise just walk away from. But in this case, if I had to buy a crappy LCD, I think this is a novel version of it.

They Look Pretty Much the Same

I don't see why they bothered making 10 "different" designs since only the colors and ears vary and not by much. It is 10 designs for the sake of variety, but it is very poor. Sorry, but I don't see their value.

I personally like them and

I personally like them and their design. But why would you get a screen so small? Or is that just the point of it.
