20/20 Plus More: The Ocumetics Bionic Lens Lets You See Better, Forever

All eyes are on a Canadian doctor – literally.

Garth Webb, the founder and owner of Ocumetics Technology Corp in British Columbia, has invented corrective bionic lenses that allows people to see three times better than 20/20 vision.

His invention is a massive breakthrough in the world of science. Why? Well, when his bionic lenses hit the market in a couple of years, glasses and contact lenses will become a thing of the past.

Webb and his team have spent the last decade researching and developing the Ocumetics Bionic Lens. They received over $3-million in funding for their project and they have just filed a plethora of international patents on their invention. A facility will soon be set-up in Delta, BC, to manufacture and distribute the invention to doctors and hospitals around the world.

“Perfect eyesight should be a human right,” says Webb.

In order for people to get this cutting-edge bionic lens, which is the size of tiny button, they have to be 25 years old, the age when the eyes are fully formed. And it doesn’t matter the condition of your eyes – Webb’s Bionic Lens will enhance one’s vision forever.

“This is vision enhancement that the world has never seen before,” says Webb.

The procedure to get the bionic lens only takes about eight minutes. The Bionic Lens is implanted in each eye and it’s a non-invasive procedure. Even better, once the procedure is done you are free to leave the hospital right away and head home.

The Bionic Lens is placed in each eye with the aid of syringe that is filled with a finely crafted salt-like solution. Within a matter of seconds the lens naturally becomes part of the eye and one’s eyesight is fully corrected right away.

“If you can just barely see the clock at 10 feet, when you get the bionic lens, you can see the clock at 30 feet away,” he explains.

Webb has long had eye problems of his own, dating back to when he was a young child. So, the development and launch of his invention is personal and will help millions of people around the world who are burdened with having to wear glasses or contact lenses.

“My heroes were cowboys, and cowboys just did not wear glasses,” says Webb. “At age 45 I had to struggle with reading glasses, which like most people, I found was a great insult. To this day I curse my progressive glasses. I also wear contact lenses, which I also curse just about every day.”

After more trails on humans you can bet that Webb will get his own Bionic Lens implants.

Webb’s invention is being hailed by other eye doctors and the general public as the “holy grail of excellent vision at all ranges.”

What will the response be when doctors offer the Bionic Lens to patients? It will be unreal – people will be lining up to get the implants, knowing they never have to worry about glasses or contact lenses again in their life.

It is anticipated that Webb’s Bionic Lens will be available by 2017.

So that’s when everyone will get to ‘see’ it to believe it.
