3 Spring Toys That Will Drive Your Cat Wild!

Cat owners have more than cat-loving in common. We have boxes of cat toys that our cats ignore. And, we've all spent a lot of time trying to figure out what toys can really keep our cats busy for more than a minute or two. Here's a tip: surprises.

Spring toys surprise cats.  They bounce around in unpredictable ways, much like the little prey that our house kitties would be chasing in the wild.  Here are three of my cat's favorite spring toys.  I take them out only when my cat starts looking for trouble, as in when he veers away from his scratching posts to my furniture....

1. Fat Cat Classics Springy Worm Cat Toy

The Fat Cat Springy Worms will surpise the heck out of your cat and you too when you open the package. I know they look innocent.... They are super springy with a soft exterior and contain organic catnip for her sniffing pleasure.

2.  Cat Dancer 101 Interactive Cat Toy

The Cat Dancer is a very popular cat toy and, if you hang it up from an open doorway, your cat will be entertained for hours with it.  The Cat Dancer is made with a springy wire and has a small coiled stiff paper at the end.  When it moves around, it looks like a moth.  Cats love it!  I will admit that the wire spring makes me a little nervous and I don't leave the toy with my cat when I am not monitoring him.

3. Petstages Cheese Chase Ball Track Cat Toy

Admittedly, the soft stuffed mouse on a spring is an added attraction of the Petstages Cheese Chase Ball Track Cat Toy, but it is the centerpiece, and believe it or not, when you bounce the toy in kitty's direction, she'll start swatting it.  If that spring toy doesn't keep her busy, the two ball tracks will.  The spring toy contains some catnip, but I refresh it often.

I think you'll find that any one of these toys will keep a spring in your cat's step, especially if you use them as "treats" for your cats.

That's the buzz for today!
