This year, six of Philips' eight Good Industrial Designs just happen to make great holiday gifts, if they can be found for sale. Most of them are so new, that they haven't reached all of Philips many markets. But if you know an infant, a mother, an elderly person, someone who loves to cook, watch TV, or needs motivation to exercise, you'll find a new gift here.

How about this TV?

1.  Philips 8000 LED Series TV

The most advanced LED technology sports the lowest power consumption and the sharpest image contrast via back-lit LED. And, of course, no hazardous materials. Philips introduces several new technologies, such as Perfect National Motion and 20 W RMS surround sound. I have not found this TV selling in the U.S. yet, but maybe before Christmas??
