6. Red Fox Spirit Eco-costume

Ever wonder what to do with chip bags? How about making a Red fox spirit costume like the one made for The Eagle's Gift show? The picture isn't very clear, but chip bags are stitched together and stuffed with fiberfill to make the parkas worn by the actors. What can you do with chip bags?

7. Real Transformers

Okay, I have to say when I saw the Real Transformers YouTube video I couldn't stop laughing. I don't know if it was the fact that these transformers don't transform smoothly or if I just can't imagine a transformer convention. Still, once a transformer fan myself (at a young age) I must admit these are pretty cool. If I had a little boy or if my girls were into this kind of thing I would definitely encourage this as a Halloween costume. 8. CD Butterfly

In Tianjin young children find ways to recycle newspaper scraps, old discs and so on. Take a look at the newspaper umbrella and disc butterfly. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find anything else on this story other than these two colorful pictures of very creative children. If only we could all be this creative.

9. Death of a Mermaid

Does the greener side of you want to help spread the environmental word? Do you have an old prom dress that barely fits you anymore? Good. Dye it green and stitch on some trash like Bamabelle did for the Etsy Halloween Costume Contest. This costume is dedicated to the effort to stop beach pollution. A pale pink vintage prom dress is dyed green and then littered with regular household trash often found in the ocean. I say this one deserves first place.
