Every men's fantasy (at least one of their many fantasies) is in the restroom in a public place, right?
These lingerie stickers were stuck over bathroom doors and on the back of toilet seats to grab men's attention and promote the Axe Effect and Axe products.

These bus wraps covered public transportation in Dubai and showed a house full of females having fun with none other than an Axe guy.

These mirrors were placed in public places with the female adhesives already attached to the mirrors, so when men walked by they saw themselves between two beautiful women.

Moving on to some more traditional, yet nonetheless creative print ads.
9. In the tub - UAEAxe has always been very brave and upfront in their sexual advertising. The example below shows this upfront attitude perfectly.

Below is another print example that uses a sexual message, however this one is done in a much more subtle manner. Or is it?

What do you think of the Axe Effect advertising? Some say it is degrading and simply too sexual. Do you agree?

In the Arab world?
Submitted on November 5th, 2007 by Lalla Mira (not verified)I am quite surprised such ads are used in the Gulf countries. I can even say I don't believe that!
I mean, Saudi Arabia? Nooo way!
I agree..."in the Arab world?"
Submitted on November 5th, 2007 by Anonymous (not verified)I agree with Lalla Mira, The Arab world would never allow such an advert.
This whole Blog is For AXE and By AXE - this Blog itself is nothing more than an Entire Advert in itself. Shamefull
Ads in the Gulf
Submitted on November 5th, 2007 by Lee NunleyYou can actually get away with a lot in Dubai and the rest of the UAE. It really depends on context. For example, you can have sexual ads in nightclubs because the authorities don't really try to enforce Islamic values in nightclubs, given that they are already considered inappropriate.
The Saudi one is surprising, it probably just didn't make sense to the Mutaween (religious police) or they never got a chance to see it.
Cool article, thanks.

Double Standards
Submitted on November 5th, 2007 by Preeti Arya (not verified)I would say Axe has hit the nail on the head with its ad campaign. I mean, guys across the world, including Arabs, have fantasies regarding women. I don't see anything wrong with this, after all this is how nature intended it to be! Those opposing the ad campaign can only be classified as having "Double Standards"! What is so wrong with acknowledging sexual desires? Even more so, when none of the Axe's ads are actually showing anything and are using creative ways of expressing the most humanly desire.
I really admire the creativity behind all the above ads.
It's no wonder they need to spend so much on advertising...
Submitted on November 7th, 2007 by Amy D. (not verified)when the stuff smells worse than cat pee. Forget the official name of female attention, try the official smell of male desperation.
that was great...

Sick.
Submitted on September 23rd, 2008 by AnonymousNo, males don't "naturally" objectify females. Until you have been raped, chased down the street, or been the object of a cat call, you will understand how demeaning and disgusting these ads are. I am NOT AN OBJECT for your sexual fantasies. I am a person.
Excuse me, you will never
