Ball Robot Gets Upgrade for Kids
Robots are, for the most part, the prevue of adults. We design them, we build them and we get to play with them, but a growing number of companies are bringing robots to the younger set and some of the companies that started out with adults are looking to kids as a new market for their products.
One of those companies is Sphero, which uses a ball like robot controlled by your smart phone, in order to play a variety of games. A new version of the robot, targeted at children, has been release by the company. The new version will have brighter lights and smoother handling, as well as a significant speed upgrade. The major changes for kids will be an upgrade to the user interface and packaging the ball with a few ramps that are designed to help the ball do new tricks right out of the box.
