Angry Birds is probably one of the most successful gaming franchises to date. Since its release, its developer Rovio has gone from small-time developer to being a company that is now worth millions of dollars.
Die-hard fans have gone to great lengths to show their devotion to the addictive game, by creating Angry Birds-themed art, and by baking pastries and cakes based on the characters of the game. A lot of others have also jumped on the Angry Birds bandwagon, churning out plush toys, t-shirts, keychains, figurines, iPhone cases, and so much more.
The latest game in the franchise is Angry Birds Rio, which collaborated and was released to highlight the release of the animated film Rio.
The game has had quite a run on iTunes and Rovio has now announced the impending release of an update to this version of the game.
