How Do You Market a Beverage That Looks Like Pee?

Heineken's more recent commercials have kept up the tradition of oddness.



What's strange is that Heineken's print campaigns have more in common with Coor's television campaigns.  Both feature surreal environments and massive amounts of product placement.

Poor corkscrew.  It's sort'a like waving bacon in front of a dog...Poor corkscrew. It's sort'a like waving bacon in front of a dog...

But it's EKU 28 beer that has my vote as the most realistic advertisement... even if it's a cartoon.



Beer and pee simply go together.  Unless it's a nice stout or some such, it looks the same going in as it does coming out.

Just don't pee on a female stick figure's leg.  They don't like that.

Add coloring to beer?

For those lighter beers, IE Urine color, add other Coloring?

Make Darker, richer vs AS IS.

Or mix Beer & Tequila?

Beer it is...

It doesn't take much once you create an image that stimulates the desired demographic. Couple that with repeated exposure and a little event based peer pressure and there you have it! Beer, the undeniable King of all things hang out oriented...
