It's a simple gadget, which is why I like it. An optical grade acrylic lens covers your page, and the LED lights that are tucked into its wedge spread light across the lens, lighting the page -- right where you want it and nowhere else.

After you read the page, just flip the lens over to the opposite page.
Finished reading? Close the book, leaving the lense as your bookmark.

It's the LightWedge Reading Light.
The LightWedge is also light weight! It's only 8.5 ounces with batteries (4 AAA), and it's easy to slip into a briefcase or backpack. The LED lights have two brightness levels and have a lifetime warranty; the unit has a one year warranty.
The LightWedge shown is for a hard back or large paper back book; dimensions are 9.5" x 6.75" x .5." But the LightWedge has just come out in paperback size: 7.4" x 5.5" x .5." Both are available at ThinkGeek.
