Boon's Glo Nightlight Is Part Toy, Part Soothing Light Source
For parents of babies and toddlers, there is not much better than an infant product that can multi-task. When you have a house full of baby gear it is great to find an item that serves more than one purpose. Boon’s Glo Nightlight, which is set to hit the market in the spring of 2011, is a toy and soothing light source in one.
Glo looks a bit like a futuristic sky scraper. It has three sort-of cone shaped pieces that jut out from the base. Nestled in each one is a removable glowing ball. When the lights are off the balls glow in various colors (you can choose one color or choose to keep them shifting). After 30 minutes the glow fades away, hopefully lulling baby off to sleep. The balls are said to quickly re-charge for the next use. During the day the balls can be removed for a game of catch or even in the dark at night.
The balls are not electronic and won’t shatter, so you don’t have to be concerned about the safety of the parts. The company even suggests that you could allow your child to take them into bed to have the glowing light close by. The product is, of course, BpA, Phthalate and PVC free.
