Buffalo Announces Frustration-Free USB Hub

I think we all know that one serious issue with USB ports – it can be difficult to figure out which orientation the cord needs to put it in – up or down. Well, good news, folks. Buffalo seems to be coming out with a solution for this seemingly constant annoyance.

These are your standard 4-port USB 2.0 hub with ports that can take your USB cord in either direction - no excessive eyeballing required! Mind-blowing, right? I sincerely hope that Buffalo will license out their unique port design to other companies – PC manufacturers in particular. With USB 3.0 out and about, though, that probably won't happen.

Anyway, Buffalo are offering these in pink, black, white, and blue for ¥1806 (US $23). They only seem to be available in Japan at the moment, but eventually we should see them start to become available over here. See the product page for more information.
