Call it Creepy: Human Hand iPhone 4 Case

In the World Of Tomorrow, actual human hands (not our own) will hold our smartphones. In the World Of Today, silicone plastic hands will have to do. I don't know about you, but after checking out the Hand iPhone 4 Case I want to be frozen like Fry from Futurama until the year 3000.

It's not that an anatomically correct human hand now doubles as an iPhone 4 case... OK, it IS that an anatomically correct human hand now doubles as an iPhone 4 case. There's something wrong about the concept to begin with, and then it starts to get weird.

For one thing, you can order the Hand iPhone 4 Case in your choice of adult female or child models – no telling if the kid's hand is male or female but really, do you have to ask? There doesn't appear to be an adult male hand, not that there's anything wrong with that.

In a related note, according to Strapya World the female “Nami's Hand” (above left) is modeled after one of the company COO's wife's hands. Sez Strapya, “Don't get any creepy ideas, guys.” Sez me, “Too late!”

When not in use (ugh!), your Hand iPhone 4 Case rests comfortable palm-up, ideally placed to hold your pens (that's PENS, four letters!), shades, loose change or what have you. Sort of like Thing from the Addams Family, though I think Thing was way less disturbing and that's saying something.

Speaking of disturbing, check out the image below... yep, some folks really, REALLY love their iPhone 4's. Let's give 'em a hand!

Be advised that since each hand is made individually, the hand's size and shape may vary slightly from one to the next. Also, there's no hole for the camera so you'll have to remove the case when taking pictures... of WHAT, I don't wanna know.

According to the Strapya product page, the Hand iPhone 4 Case is priced at 5,000 yen or around $64.20 each and product ordered now will be shipped towards the end of September 2011. Oh, and Nami... call me.
