Chandelier Expresses Delight And Confusion: The Chandelirium
Talk about design that's expressive, the Chandelirium, by lighting and furniture sculptor Aaron R. Thomas and multi-media artist Anne-Louise Ewen, far surpasses the category's qualifications. The chandelier looks like it was woven by a colony of totally delirious birds during mating season.
But seriously, the ultra-modern, high tech Chandelirium is as eccentric a chandelier as you might find, if you're looking for a pretty mess of lighting design that expresses your own mania or contrasts with your flat demeanor. And the 7" globe light bulb allows you to "see inside" the clear and white acrylic "brain" of the hanging light design better than an MRI scan.
Made of reclaimed cast acrylic, the approximately 20-by-30 inch Chandelirium is sculptured to order. Though it may be ordered in specific color combinations, the clear and white combinations of acrylic probably cast the best shadows and provides the most light.
