Chef'n Sweet Spot Ice Cream Maker Creates Frosty Treats In Minutes

Spring has sprung and you know what that means… ice cream. Yes, it’s time to welcome back everyone’s favorite warm weather treat. Personally, I don’t stop eating it at all, but I’m kind of obsessed with the stuff. Ice cream is cool, creamy and just plain delicious. The only problem I have with it is that the versions sold in stores these days are typically loaded with all kinds of obscure ingredients that are surely not good for me. I’ve tried making my own ice cream, but it just takes so long and yields rather unsatisfying results.

There is hope on the horizon though. Coming soon from Chef’n is the Sweet Spot ice cream maker. To use this handy gadget you simply freeze the bowl for 24 hours, then pour in your ice cream base and start mixing and folding. Within a minute or two the ice cream is ready to eat. You can fold in your favorite goodies too.

The Sweet Spot is basically a freezable shallow bowl with a  special base that starts hardening the mixture as soon as it hits the pan. It comes with special mixing utensils to help you fold and scrape the bowl while your ice cream freezes. No word yet on exactly when the Sweet Spot will hit the market (although it looks to be available in the UK), but the site says that it’s coming soon. Here’s hoping it’s out in time for summer!
