Design Efficient Place To Stash Your Stash
When designing a house, I wonder how many architects think about places to hide. Maybe places for kids to hide from each other, or for adults to hide when marketers come to their doors. But what about places to hide stash... valuable stash like money or jewelry?
Sean Michael Ragan, designer of clever things, as well as a writer and contributing editor for Make Magazine and Make Online, has come up with an ingenious way to hide your valuables. He calls it the Doortop Stash because the aluminum vial that contains the stash can be hidden right in a door top... well, after you drill an appropriate hole for it.
Ragan writes that he thinks "this trick Will Still Be Effective Even after I blog it all over the web," or, I guess, the rest of us blog it all over the web.... Yes, it just may be, but I think there's a larger opportunity here.
The idea of hiding valuables in the very foundation of your home or apartment is what's brilliant. You can make hiding places anywhere! And unlike just rummaging through your underwear drawers or rolling over your mattress, it might take a burglar quite a long time to find where you stash your stash!
