Sure, I came across this one very close to its deadline, but if you have a brilliant new way for diabetics to consume the insulin they need, send it to the Ignite: Diabetes Challenge for a chance to win $5,000.
Let’s get down to brass tacks here: Shots suck. Diabetic patients have to jab themselves as needed to administer their insulin treatments, but it’s 2013 for goodness sakes! There’s got to be a better way than the basic “disposable pen” concepts introduced in the 1980s, right?
That’s where you come in, brilliant inventors! If you have an idea for the next step in the evolution of insulin delivery systems that is accessible and appropriate for anyone to use. Your final idea for the modern insulin delivering medical tool should be durable, accurate, disposable, the ability to hold an electrical charge for a long time, and be able to store multiple doses.
Click here to share your idea for a chance to win the $5,000 from the Ignite contest. To get your idea into the running, you’ll have to summarize your idea into 250 words or less and attach a concept sketch to your entry.
You’d better hurry up if you want to be one of the 10 progressive inventors who walk away $5,000 richer, as the contest ends May 10th! If this contest perked your interest, stay tuned, as I plan on sharing the most original ideas Ignite collects. Good luck, everyone!
