A Design From The Sea: The Sand Baby Castaway Doll
Designers are expressing their frustration with environmental issues in various ways. Yesterday, I wrote about the Save The Beach Hotel, HA Schult's architectural monument made of 12 tons of garbage he collected from the beach. The Sand Baby Castaway Doll is Los Angeles designer Glenda Rolle's handmade, limited edition, sculpture of what could have been washed up by the sea, albeit more haphazardly.
The 12-inch Sand Baby Castaway Doll has a bottle attached to its wrist with a signed and numbered (1 - 100) SOS message. The doll itsell is made of sand, eye hooks...
and one blinky eye.
The Sand Baby Castaway Doll comes with a wooden rescue crate for its safety. You can rescue the Doll from Moss Online.
