Drive Alert Master: Wearable Geeky Gadget Keeps Drivers Alert Behind The Wheel!

For many, when driving at night, or even long hours during the day; they run the risk of nodding off behind the wheel and coming to terms with their own mortality. Without a fellow passenger on hand to keep tabs on the driver's alertness, falling asleep behind the wheel is a very real danger. The Drive Alert Master is a smart technology that keeps drivers awake through annoyance, just like having your spouse in the passenger seat!

The Drive Alert Master is a wearable geeky gadget that fits over the ear like a headphone from a media player. Its motion detection technology can actually sense when the drivers head is nodding to the degree that indicates drowsiness, and then emits a loud beeping noise to snap the driver back into alertness. Wearers of this smart, geeky technology have some options to control their alertness as well - unlike with a spouse, they can actually set the sensitivity to head motion and the volume of the device, presumably to ensure they don't have the living daylights scared out of them when the gadget goes off.

The Drive Alert Master certainly isn't fashionable, but when it comes to safety, sometimes you just have to put aside your fashion-related pride.

My dad had one of these when we used to drive to Florida in the early 80s. Of course, that had a mercury switch would they wouldn't sell anymore because "terrorists" could use it...
