Elegant Punk: The Darwin Bracelet Celebrates Man And The Man
Today is the bicentennial of Charles Darwin's birth and to celebrate the folks from Walking Chair are bringing out a 200th birthday bash Darwin's Bracelet, the very first product of Vienna design group Formik. With replicas of our predecessors, including the skulls of Australopithecus, Homo habilis, Homo erectus, Homo neanderthalensis and Homo sapiens, the Darwin Bracelet is not only evolutionary, it's revolutionary... Darwin's Bracelet is elegant punk!
The Darwin Bracelet has a delicate sterling silver band, artistically carved, with a link chain closing, so the bracelet can fit wrists from just under 8 inches to about 10 inches in diameter. The skulls are hand carved and available in sterling silver or porcelain!
Formik is a group of artists, architects, and designers that aims "to publish our own theories and thoughts through our products, and never miss an opportunity to promote education."
Walking Chair is also a Vienna design group with a somewhat larger collection of great designs, some of which we've covered here at Inventor Spot. You can find out more about Darwin's Bracelet and even order one from Walking-Things.com.
