Fanimation's Torto Infuses Warped Ideas Into Fan Design

No--you're not looking at my old food processor blade after my kids decided to frappe rocks. This is a twisted new ceiling fan design by Fanimation. I really like the Torto's futuristic design, but this ceiling fan isn't all about good looks. The design actually has an interesting purpose.

The Torto fan features only three curved blades that provide a 52-inch blade sweep that actually pushes air around a room at an angle as opposed to just pushing air directly below the fan. The company claims that this innovation actually increases the airflow to other areas of a room.

This kicky, modern design can complement any room setting and is offered in metro gray (shown) and oil-rubbed bronze finishes--both with an opal frosted glass lighting fixture. Other features include a varying blade pitch, ceiling slope accommodation to 30 degrees, 6-inch downrod (with longer downrod options available), three forward and three reverse speeds, and a hand-held remote.
