Franklin & Gower: Custom Clothing Design For Men

Women get all the luck when it comes to customizing their own fashions - from clothing to purses and other accessories - our opportunities to put our own design stamp while someone else works the needle and thread, are virtually endless. Now, one company is allowing men to design their own fashions too.

Franklin and Gower is a web-based men's fashion site that allows the male gender to put their stamp on their pants by giving them the option to customize trousers. Full length pants are Bermuda shorts are available and run at $185 and $145. Men can start off with the design process by selecting a base fabric, relaxed or slim fit style, and then they can choose a funky or classic design for the seams while comes in a variety of flashy or subtle patterns.

It might be a fashion design fight that caters towards men - but for at least 70% of American men, they'll have no part of the clothing selection process as their spouses and partners get online to design and order their custom clothing.

I'm glad you put in your own bit of unsupported sexism into the article somewhere. It was a good article until that point.

That's like if someone wrote an article about women designing their own power tools (that would be great, actually). And then at the end he says, "Of course, then they would have to ask their husbands how to use them around the house."

 Also note that it was no way indicated that men CANNOT design their own clothes, as you mention above with regards to women and power tools...just that there are likely many women that will appreciate this gimmick as a fun fashion for their men!
