I'm going to have to travel a bit from where I live to get to play in the snow this winter, but it's always worth it. Even if you're not into skiing or snowboarding, there's nothing that makes you feel like a kid again than having a snowball fight. But alas! What's this about a new invention for creating and shooting snowballs? A Snowball Blaster?
The Snowball Blaster, also called the Snowball Launcher, looks like a gun, but it operates more like a sling shot. You just place the snow in the top portion and close the lid, and the molds form three well-packed snowballs the size of softballs! When a snowball is in the muzzle, you pull back on the elastomer stretching handle, aim, and let 'er go! It's all about wrist action, but a different kind than when you throw a snowball with your arm.
The Snowball Blaster is made for kids 8 years old and up. "Up," I take to mean big old kids like me. It's a pretty decent size, 17.5 x 5.5 x 12 inches, and it weighs 2.5 pounds. The Snowball Blaster is sold by Hammacher Schlemmer , so you know it's a sturdy toy, because Hammacher has a lifetime guarantee on all of its product.s , or 17 1/2" L x 5 1/2" W x 12" H. (2 1/2 lbs) It also comes with target practice posters.
I wonder if using a Snowball Blaster would still make me feel like a kid again, or maybe just make it easier for me to compete with the kids....
