If you're a fan of both social networking and video games then GameStop is giving you the best of both worlds by bringing their store to Facebook. Yep, you heard that right. While the gaming company already has a separate online store on its website, it's branching out and opening one on the popular social networking site.
GameStop recently expanded their online presence and decided to set base on Facebook to give you easier access to games and to allow you to share your love of them to your friends and social network easily.
The Facebook shop features game reviews as well as videos and trailers of to-be-released and recently released games. You can also "like" games you like (obviously) and share them to people who you think might be interested in them while earning points for your GameStop customer loyalty program account if you have one.
The launch of the Facebook GameStop shop is the most recent move in a long list of strategic moves that has included acquiring social gaming site Kongregate, digital distributor Impulse, and game streaming service Spawn Labs. The gaming company might also develop its own gaming tablet sometime late this year; however, that one is still up for speculation. (We covered this news here: GameStop Thinking Of Launching Their Own Gaming Tablet In Late 2011.)
