For inventors to be successful, they do not necessarily have to give up their two front teeth or their right arm in order to develop and market their products successfully.
You need to be as inventive in getting your idea out without too much risk to your livelihood and your pocketbook as you were in having the great idea in the first place.
For example, in trying to seek a patent for your idea, you don't have to go about getting a patent first. You can first submit a provisional patent application (rather than the more typical non-provisional patent application). The provisional patent application gives you 12 months to file a non-provisional application. This can save you alot of money while you try to figure out the marketablility and other issues of your idea. As always, make sure you talk to a good patent lawyer for advice applicable to your specific situation.
Oh, by the way, the ridiculous baby pacifier is one of the products featured in our Wacky Products Gallery and you can Buy It Here. Please go check out the Wacky Products Gallery as I am adding to it often. For the less wacky but much cooler inventions of our fellow inventors, also make sure to check out our Invention Gallery.
