Somewhere in Los Angeles California a sustainable meal truck, the Green Truck, is delivering meals made with organically grown ingredients. To find the truck's location a customer can track it via a GPS tracker, twitter or by phone. So, a customer can always know where the truck is parked right now.
The entire Green Truck menu is made from-scratch and with certified organically grown (and if possible purchased locally) ingredients. The Green truck believes in using organic ingredients because they "protect your body from harmful pesticides and keeps pollutants away from plants, animals, and waterways".
Their green menu includes such things as: vegan sandwiches as well as meat sandwiches made from grass fed animal. Their popular vegan Mother Trucker burgers can be purchased online as well as from the truck. So, if you don't live in California you can have a taste of what the Green truck has to offer. Keep in mind; depending on where you live, this may not be considered shopping locally.
They make everything from scratch and nothing comes to them pre-packaged. Their food containers and utensils are made with biodegradable products and they offer, "purified water and stainless steel drinkware by Bottless", but their food and packaging isn't all that is environmentally friendly.
In addition to the eco-friendly food the Green Truck is a sustainable truck. How? The vehicle runs off of solar power as well as recycled vegetable oil previously used by The Green Truck and other restaurants in Los Angeles.
Unfortunately, it appears the truck only travels in Los Angeles California. Fortunately, the Green Truck is spreading the word and telling people how to run their own green truck business. All an interested party has to do is contact them. My only hope is that someone around here will take an interest.
