Chedds is a unique restaurant that I featured a while ago that serves grilled cheese exclusively. With their traditional grilled cheese recipes, and some that are new and unusual, Chedds quickly grew in popularity since its launch; but now, it's getting a little bit of competition from a company that's found one way to top it - making grilled cheese mobile.
Grilled Cheese Truck
Ok, so the Grilled Cheese Truck isn't in direct competition with Chedds since they're located in California, while Chedds is an Austin, Texas based restaurant, but they are capturing their own piece of the niche grilled cheese market. The Grilled Cheese Truck also has a unique mix of sandwiches like the Cheesy Mac and Rib, the Harvest Melt (roasted butternut squash, leeks and balsamic and agave syrups), and even a desert melt with banana pure, Nutella and marshmallow! Of course, there are more classic varieties for those who don't like to mess with a good thing; diners at the truck can choose from American, sharp cheddar, mozzarella or gruyere. All of the classic sides are on hand as well, including tomato soup and tater tots for a complete grilled cheese lunch experience!
Grilled Cheese
The Grilled Cheese Truck caters and travels around the LA area, to find out where they are each day of the week, visit their website where a schedule is posted or follow them on Twitter for regular updates about what's cooking!
