Designer Fernando Altamirano, who previously dressed Cognac Dudognon Heritage Henri IV in the most expensive cognac bottle in the world, recently sold his newly-designed water bottle for $60,000, winning his second Guinness record for the highest priced bottle sold at auction. Proceeds for the sale were donated to a foundation to stop global warning.
The most expensive water bottle in the world contains water from springs in France, Fiji, and a glacier in Iceland. Oh, and then there's 5 milligrams of 23 K gold dust sprinkled in the water.
The Modigliani-like sculptured bottle of The World's Most Expensive Water Bottle Acqua di Cristallo "Tributo a Modigliani," is rather exquisite. This solid gold version is the bottle that sold for $60,000, but its regular price is only $3,600. Fifteen percent of proceeds from all sales of the bottles will be donated to global warming causes.

Altamirano makes the Acqua di Cristallo bottle in gold, gold matte, silver, silver matte, and crystal and a variety of compositions of these materials. One of my favorites is the Ice Blue Acqua di Cristallo bottle, which sells for $285.

Each Acqua di Cristallo luxury water bottle comes in this leather case. Shown with this case is the silver matte face Acqua di Cristallo Tributo Modigliani.

The version I like the best? It's the one in the advertisement, which I couldn't find for sale on the website.
