Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary Cookies Celebrate Japan's Cute Cat Character In Delicious Style

Hello Cookies! You don't have to be Cookie Monster to nom-nom-nom these cans of Hello Kitty Cookies but just like the cute character celebrating her 40th anniversary, they're awfully hard to resist!

The cookies are the result of a partnership between Sanrio, owner of the Hello Kitty license and franchise, and Bourbon, one of Japan's largest food & beverage companies.

Packed in collectible metal cans and boxes emblazoned with the Anglo-Japanese legend “Arigato Everyone”, Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary Cookies offer 54 cookies per container in five distinct designs including a larger size cookie in the shape of Hello Kitty's face. The cookies are arranged within a formed plastic liner in the fashion of traditional Danish butter cookies.

Two flavors are available: Butter and Cocoa, with the former packed in a pink can and the latter in a red can. Each are priced at 700 yen (about $7) per can and are on sale from August 5th, 2014 for a limited time only. (via YouPouch)
