The trash to treasure pair of shoes you see in the picture above and below were created by Gabriel Dishaw. They are part of Dishaw's Junk Dunk shoe sculpture series. Each shoe is made with recycled metals, computer parts and typewriter parts. Only glue and metal bending techniques are used to hold the pieces together. The shoes, depending on the style weigh from 4lbs up to about 20lbs. The shoes sizes come in men's size 9.5, but size doesn't matter here. The shoes can't be worn, they are made of metal after all, but if the price is right they can be yours. Well... at least the "Blazer Pentium 1.0" can be yours. It is currently for sale. So if you're shopping for your favorite recycling nork these shoes may be the perfect gift for him or her.
