I Have To Wonder If This Back To The Future Golf Cart Can Go The Required 88 Miles-Per-Hour...

October 21, 2015 is upon us.  If you are a fan of Back to the Future, you will know the significance of this day.  If not, the explanation is simple: It is the day that Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) arrive from the past in a modified Delorian time machine.

We all know this classic scene...We all know this classic scene...

In an attempt to aid golfers everywhere (and perhaps in hopes of speeding up the game), David and Vicki Heykants, John Perrin, and Lucas Evanochko of Duel Divisions developed this sporty "time machine" based on Doc Brown's design.  It has a Mr. Fusion, metal panels, two "jet engines", a control panel, and can also play audio from the movies.

Okay.  It has a Mr. Fusion.  But can the Flux Capacitor... flux?  And does it have enough steel in the frame to protect the golfers within?  Let's take a look at this vehicle in action:

Well, I'm not sure that it reached 88-miles-per-hour, but it did appear to breach the space/time continuum.  This makes me wonder if the Mr. Fusion doubles as a cooler for fine beverages?  Here is a closer look at some of the fine detail put into this cart--right down to the cool countdown counter.

My one problem--and please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong: Isn't the arrival date incorrect?

Isn't that supposed to be October 21, 2015?Isn't that supposed to be October 21, 2015?

Regardless, this looked like a very fun project to tackle.  Maybe next Dual Divisions can try to recreate the steam powered time machine from Back to the Future 3--though something tells me that the destructive footprint it would leave on a golf course would make lands-keepers quite unhappy!
