If the screen of your new iPhone 4 is so clean you could eat off it, keep it that way - with a faux food phone cover!
Japan is a world leader in the art of fake food - anyone whose taken a stroll down Kappabashi will agree. Now the creative types at Strapya are adapting the nation's mad faux food skills to fit mobile phones, specifically the new Apple iPhone 4.
The covers are trimmed to fit neatly over the face of the iPhone 4, thereby protecting the vulnerable screen while having a bit of fun along the way.
Choose from Yakisoba (fried noodles), Fried Chicken Cutlet, Bacon & Eggs, and Bento Box Rice - the latter complete with an imitation umeboshi (pickled sour plum) right smack in the middle, Japanese flag style.
Strapya has announced the availability of the four iPhone 4 covers in late August of 2010 but they're accepting pre-orders now for those who wish to lock in the cover or covers of their choice.
Each cover costs 3,990 yen (around $45) - not cheap by any stretch but at the same time, an artful expression of faux food that's definitely in good taste! (via Kirainet)
