iPhone Dock Fan Keeps You Cool While You Call
Chill out, sweaty mobile chatters! The iPhone Dock Fan for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, available from the Japan Trust Technology (JTT) online shop, delivers a cooling breeze no matter how hot your phone conversation gets.
This iPhone- and iPod Touch-compatible portable electric fan mounts via your device's dock port, which powers it from your mobile device's battery while holding it securely. Those worried by the prospect of a propeller whirring away at 4,000 rpm mere millimeters from their ear should just mellow out, dude, since the twin fan blades are fashioned from soft urethane plastic.
Thanks to today's longer-lasting mobile phone & music player batteries, one can run the iPhone Dock Fan for up to 6 hours on a full charge. There's also offers a special "folding” feature whereby users can bend and twist the fan mounting so that air blows upwards or to the side, according to one's preference.

The iPhone Dock Fan from JTT is designed to be compatible with the Apple iPhone 3G, 3GS, and 4. It also works well with the Apple iPod Touch 1st through 4th generations. Since docks are a rather generic feature, it's likely you'll be able to use your iPhone Dock Fan with future generations of Apple's popular smartphones and muisc players.
The iPhone Dock Fan measures 82 × 29 × 13mm (roughly 3.3 x 1.15 x 0.5 inches) and weighs just 17 grams, or about 6/10 of an ounce. Pricing is set at 1,260 yen (about $15.25) at the Japan Trust Technology online shop.
JTT has kindly packaged the iPhone Dock Fan in a neat little black case to protect it and ensure the propeller blades don't get mangled or distorted. The case comes included at no extra cost.
Last but not least – and I'm sure you've been wondering – you can't reverse the fan's spin direction and thereby allow your iPhone or iPod Touch to fly on its own, helicopter style... but I'll bet some wiseguy's already working on an app for that.
