It Happened Here: Jewelry Line With A Personal Story

Often the jewelry that we wear begins to signify an important period in our lives because of the memories that are formed through its acquisition and wear. Now, an Etsy store has actually created a customizable line that allows you to share your story.

Story JewelryStory Jewelry

The jewelry line is called "It Happened Here.." It's a narrative cartography series that allows individuals to submit a little memento from a significant moment in their  life to be turned into a pendant. They can also provide the coordinates (longitude and latitude) of where the item came from for engraving on their custom jewelry piece.

Not only is this jewelry very personal and customizable, individuals can also choose to share their story by providing a code that can be entered online. There, others can read about what makes the created jewelry just so special.

Providing a code? hmm...

Interesting idea, but why bother with the code? I can't imagine someone would be so bored as to enter a code online to see why their friend or relative's jewelry is so special.

I will admit the piece shown in the ad does look good and the cartography aspect is unusual / intriguing.

Wonderfully creative!

Awesome idea. Go for it! I think there is definitely a market to sell this concept. Anyone with a special event, tragedy, loss, marriage may find this a wonderful way to "save" the memory. Don't let the naysayers get in your way!
