Anyone that knows anything about supercars knows that there's less than a week until the world has a new Lamborghini. And not just some special edition or spin-off, but an entirely new, never-before-seen model. And a 700-hp flagship model at that.
In leading up to its official March 1 debut at the Geneva Motor Show, Lamborghini has been content to show a single teaser photo, along with photos of parts like the engine and chassis.
The auto media has not been so content with that. For months, photos and videos have been leaking like a colander. And they've culminated in a glossy photo of the Aventador LP700-4 live and uncovered.
Only one photo leaked, so we don't get to see much of the side or rear fascia. What we can see, though, is some new, angular design language; a transparent engine cover showing off the all-new, 691-hp V12 engine; and a red-and-black interior that looks as sexy as the outside of the car.
Under that glass cover, the Lamborghini packs 509 lb-ft of torque along with the aforementioned 691 ponies in the form of a 6.5-liter V12. The Aventador will hit 62 mph in 2.9 seconds and will have a top speed of 217 mph.
Thanks to this teaser photo, which by the way, is a scanned page from an upcoming issue of Evo Magazine Croatia, Lamborghini may just see fit to reveal the Aventador a little early. As in tomorrow or later this week. If not, Geneva is less than a week away, so we'll soon have plenty more pictures.
