Land Rover Experience Offers Off-Roading On Land Rover's Eastnor Test Track

Ever wonder how Land Rover tunes their vehicles to take on the worst the world can offer? Ever imagine driving one of those vehicles on Land Rover's very own test track in Eastnor, UK? Well stop wondering, quit dreaming and get online to book your very own Land Rover Experience!

Land Rover's 5,000-acre test facility in Herefordshire, England features 30 miles of rough trails whose natural wildness is ideal for testing and refining the off-road capabilities of each new Land Rover model.

If a vehicle can make it through Eastnor's steep and slippery inclines, well-worn ruts, deep water features and seasonal snowfalls, it can make it anywhere.

The company contracted with the owners of Eastnor Castle, “a massive and gloomy-looking building, flanked by watch-towers” according to 19th century British architect Charles Locke Eastlake, to use a portion of the sprawling estate for the Land Rover test facility. Annually every June, the castle hosts the Land Rover World Event during which visitors can take the company's latest models off-roading.

While ostensibly a golden opportunity to put an assortment of Land Rovers through their paces on a wide-ranging series of training slopes, participants also can enjoy observing the Malvern Hills' spectacular native wildlife including Buzzards, Red Kites and Muntjac Deer, not to mention scenic vistas rolling out as far as the Black Mountains... er, maybe it's best drivers keep their eyes on the track.

For more information, visit Land Rover Experience at the company's website and to explore some of the most luxurious accommodations in the region, check out the Colwall Park Hotel in Colwall, Malvern, Worcestershire.
