It looks like Lenovo's out to develop a tablet that can figuratively and will literally be able to crush its competition. At 23 inches, the planned Lenovo Ideapad would probably be more than anyone can handle on their laps–and that's because it's not meant for full mobility use.
So what can you do with a huge tablet like that? It's large size will obvious be a hindrance to mobility. Imagine having to carry it while you're commuting or when you're at the office. However, the tablet was never meant to be carried around.
Lenovo's Senior Marketing Specialist William Cai explains, "It’s obviously not for full mobility use, but it could be moved from room to room in the house and used with a full keyboard, or as a television.Or you could lay it on a table top and use it for family games."
We appreciate the explanation but I had the notion that tablets were meant to be a whole lot smaller and relatively portable. I'm sure there are some people out there who greeted this announcement with glee, most specifically, designers, who will obviously be part of the bunch that could put a tablet of this size to good use. It might have its advantages so we'll just probably have to wait and see until the device is released later this year.
