LEO Helps You Optimize Your Workout And Reduce Injury Risk

What do you look for in a fitness tracker? All of the basics--step counting, sleep monitoring, heart rate tracking, etc? What if your fitness tracker could monitor lactic acid build up, tell you when you're not pushing yourself and help to prevent injury? The LEO Fitness Tracker can do all of these things and more.

Basic Features

LEO offers all of the basic features that most fitness trackers offer. It counts your steps, reads your heart rate, tells you how many calories you've burned, the distance you've traveled and tracks your speed and acceleration.

It also can measure your cadence and pace, and it gives you your location and the weather in that location. All of this data is tracked and compiled in an app. With this app, you can monitor your progress and share workouts and gains with your fitness community.

Advanced Features

LEO doesn't work like a typical fitness tracker. Your typical fitness tracker tracks its own movements--just shake one around a bit or put it on a washing machine in use and see all of the calories you're "burning." LEO is different. It monitors your bio signals to give you more accurate readings.

Through monitoring your bio signals, LEO can effectively tell when your muscles contract. Muscle contraction occurs when muscle cells lengthen or shorten, and it is the means by which we move our bodies. Contraction is controlled by the brain, via small electrical signals. LEO picks up on these signals and can measure your muscle contractions. This is helpful in guaging the intensity of your exercise. If you're slacking in your workout, LEO can tell you to pick up the pace and work harder.

Through picking up on your bio singals, LEO can also tell you when you're favoring one side or another in your workout. The body tends to have muscular imbalances, and LEO can pick up on these and help you to correct them. This is very useful in injury prevention.

LEO can help you improve your form as well. This little device not only measures your bio signals, it employs 3D motion sensing that allows it to detect deficiencies in your technique. This technology also gives the device the ability to report problems with muscle coordination, and it can tell you which muscles an exercise is targeting and help you to be sure you're using the right technique to target those muscles.

Not only does this help with injury prevention, it will improve your lifting, running and training form. Proper form keeps you safe from injury, and it means that you can do more--run harder, lift more weight, etc--which means more gains in your training.

Muscle Fatigue And Lactic Acid

LEO also has the ability to track muscle fatigue and lactic acid build-up. Muscle fatigue is a decline in a muscle's ability to generate force, and LEO picks up on the body's bio rhythms and can detect this and let you know when you're fatigued. This helps prevent overtraining and injuries associated with overtraining.

Lactic acid forms in the body when oxygen levels are low (as during exercise) and is the culprit of the soreness you experience when you've exercised really hard. LEO monitors your lactic acid levels in real time and can notify you when you're pushing too hard.

LEO's app also learns from your data and other users' data and will adapt to your unique physiology. Learning from everyone's data allows the device to become better at noticing small anomalies in your technique and form.

With all of its advanced features, LEO may be the most sophisticated fitness tracker on the market. Not only does it do all of the basic things a fitness tracker does, but it can help you to improve your form, reduce your risk of injury and optimize your workouts.
