Not too long ago, Lexus let it slip that they were working on a hybrid coupe, at the time called the LF-CT, which would likely be competing in the same ring as the recently released BMW 1-Series. Now, they have offered up some sketches of the soon-to-be-revealed concept and given us its true name.
The LF-Ch, as it is now being called, will bow at Frankfurt and hopefully is a glimpse of where the automaker is planning on going. Powering the LF-Ch will be some form of the upcoming Hybrid Synergy Drive (HSD) system, possibly the same one that will be used in the Auris.
When asked about the LF-Ch, a spokesperson from Lexus described it as a "...BMW 1 Series, but hybrid." If this is the case, it means that the Audi A3 and Volvo C30 are also being targeted by the new hybrid hatchback.
Lexus is planning on unveiling the LF-Ch, alongside a handful of other Toyota hybrid concepts, on the Frankfurt show floor later this month.
