Save for your monitor (and maybe your mouse) your keyboard is,
hands-down, the most important component of your system. After all, it's
how you do...well, pretty much everything. If there's one peripheral
you shouldn't be afraid to splurge on, it's a keyboard. To that end, Logitech earlier this week announced its latest peripheral: it's called the TK820 Wireless All-In-One Keyboard.
Though the name's a bit of a mouthful, the product is decidedly minimalist. For one, it's designed to take up as little space as possible. It's got chiclet keys, an ultra-slim design, and a large, built-in trackpad. Further, the fact that it's wireless (it works over the 2.4 GHz spectrum) means you're not going to have a bunch of cables cluttering up your desk. It'll just be your keyboard and...well, that's pretty much it.
The touchpad is slightly bigger than what you'd find on a laptop, and features support for a whole host of gesture controls, including up to 13 Windows 8 Multi-Touch gestures (you'll need to download the Logitech SetPoint software to gain access to those). The TK820 will arrive in both the US and Europe later this year. Feel free to preorder one for yourself, if that's your thing.
Me, I'm just gonna stick with me Black Widow Ultimate. What? I like mechanical keys.
