Pop-up campers have come a long way in terms of comfort and built-in technology, but for the most part the design has remained unchanged. Of course, it was only a matter of time until someone came up with something new and exciting and in this case, it could change how people look at their "home away from home."
I guess calling it a pop-up is slightly misleading, as it expands outward rather than upward, but it is interesting nonetheless. Once parked the Mobile Mini House unfolds, much like a Japanese Hand Fan, and covers a full 252 degrees. When opened, you can live comfortably knowing you have a bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, office and living room at your disposal.
The rooms are divided by a system lightweight walls that slide along a pair of tracks laid into the floor. The individual components of each room are either folded to save space or stored somewhere that can be easily accessed during set-up. Once fully extended and everything has been arranged to your liking, a membrane can be stretched over the entire thing to keep the bugs and weather on the outside.

The Mobile Mini House is still in the design phase and may never be anything but a computer rendering, but should it be produced I would be very interested.

Irony
Wasn't the whole purpose of camping to experience the great outdoors? Using things like this to make life much easier outdoors shouldn't even be considered 'camping.'

Interesting
I'd use something like this in the USA on national parks or other camping areas. Looks amazing! We're world travelers roughing it, but with on-board luxury like this, why not upgrade? www.abandonthecube.com

Veru iteresting but....
Interesting I love the outdoors but my girlfriend isn't as much of a fan of it as me, so this would be great. It is Smaller than your usual travel trailer and much more versatile, but a concept. The pluming would be a nightmare. A clever idea but ideas don’t mean reality. Maybe that’s why a mini is driving it.

How about giving some credit to the designer?

how does the floor expand? it seems seemless, did they account for the fact that the floor must expand and contract also?

Caravan
I'd buy one like a shot. Great for everything.
Spin off from space research on accomodation perhaps?!

This looks terrible. It seems there are a lot of components that can break, or jam up. Its circular design requires significant width of a campsite, making it useless for narrower sites. Not to mention, finding level ground would be a chore in itself. The mini-house also seems like too much work to to put together, from unfolding it, to the set up of the floor and the roof overhead. It looks cool and colorful, but I bet it's practically flimsy and prone to failure. Just observe the floor, if a leg eventually gets bent on a long road trip, the whole thing could sag or collapse. No thanks, I'll stick with a simple tent. If I want luxury, then I'll stay at home or at a hotel with a pool.
