Mood Variations on T-shirt: S.A.D

Graphic designer Keith Hancox has a friend who suffers from seasonal affective disorder (s.a.d). As stated by the U.S. National Library of Medicine: "Some people experience a serious mood change when the seasons change. They may sleep too much, have little energy, and crave sweets and starchy foods." Also known as winter depression, S.A.D. is a mood disorder whose sufferers experience normal mental health throughout most of the year, but experience depressive symptoms in the winters.

The T-shirt designed by Keith has a sun printed with black heat sensitive ink which turns transparent at 32ºc. Pretty neat.

The first s.a.d. t-shirt has a sun and cloud design where the sun has been overprinted with black heat sensitive ink. The ink turns transparent at 32 degree centigrade which happens when the wearer is outdoors in sunshine.

The other t-shirt has a cloud motif. The words "The sun is nature's prozac" was screen-printed with yellow heat sensitive ink.

Innovative, stylish and effective.
