A few years ago Sprint launched a special nutrition service that is unfortunately no longer in operation that helps keep perpetual dieters always on task. Since this business is no longer in operation, it opens up a niche industry void that could use filling.

A few years ago Sprint launched a special nutrition service that is unfortunately no longer in operation that helps keep perpetual dieters always on task. Since this business is no longer in operation, it opens up a niche industry void that could use filling.

My Food Phone by sprint allowed people to take pictures about what they were about to eat, or considering indulging in and send them in along with a brief description that way nutritionists could quickly respond with nutritional information to encourage or discourage the senders to move forward with satisfying their food craving. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a niche already filled, and there's undoubtedly an iPhone app that does it; but I'd say generally, as we as a society try to become more health conscious, there's more room for many businesses of this type to come to the table.
