How about a nice little underwater adventure without having to leave the house? The Ocean Explorer 1, from Megatech, is a super cool, twin-motored submarine perfect for the pool, pond or fish tank.

Suitable for fresh water only, the watertight sub dives to depths of 6 feet and can "turn on a dime" too. And this little guy is not your ordinary, everyday submarine either. The kids will have a ball with the "electric powered 2 channel micro-technology sub." And there is no need to worry about undersea collisions either. OE1 is equipped with 3 front mounted, high-powered exploration lights and two flashing red and green rear lights. And just in case the batteries would happen to fail, Ocean Explorer 1 can still make it safely to the surface with its "fail safe surface feature."

Besides the submarine, a radio control transmitter, charger, display stand, spare propellers, manual and carrying case are also included. The OE1 submarine is powered by a rechargeable battery. A full charge takes about 3 hours. The sub also requires 8 AA alkaline batteries for the 2-channel FM transmitter. The Ocean Explorer 1 retails for about $70 and is recommended for children 10 and up. No assembly is required.
