Oceanwings: A Wetsuit That Allows Wearers To "Fly" Underwater

If you have ever wondered what it would feel like to fly, you may be about to get your chance. With a new kind of wetsuit called "Oceanwings," you can experience the sensation of flight while under water. French Oceanwings Wetsuit (You Tube Image)Oceanwings Wetsuit (You Tube Image)designer Guillaume Binard and Aqua Lung Dream Lab have partnered up to create the garment inspired by skydiving wingsuits.

The basic idea is really to give the wearer the ability to swim through the water like a fish. The
"webbed" design makes the arms like wings when extended and helps hold the lower body in the correct position for gliding.

The neoprene suit allows the diver to glide elegantly through the water rather than the work of swimming and pumping those flippers.

There is no word at this time as to when the suit will go into production, however the video is creating a great deal of interest in the suit.
