Peugeot Metromorph Offers Low Cost Travel and a Cheap Balcony

As our cities grow larger and more populated, parking will become more of a hassle than it already is. While this is a scary thought for many people, it is one that could be diverted by the Peugeot Metromorph Concept.

The Metromorph Concept is a battery powered electric vehicle that not only gets you to work, but also doubles as a balcony. Yes, it seems as though you can now enjoy your vehicle on the way to and from work, as well as when you need a break to enjoy the view from you office.

The driving force behind the Metromorph was the already scarce parking space during the weekdays. If this was to ever be put into production, once you arrived at your apartment or work, you would simply allow your Metromorph to scale the building and there it would remain until you need it again.

Inside the Metromorph two seats are held in place by rotating arms. These arms will work in unison with signals from sensors built into the body of the vehicle and be able to keep the seats upright at all times.

The rear wheels are powered via built in motors that draw power from an on board battery stack, which is presumably very large due to the need to scale a building. Entering the vehicle is made easy by 2 large glass panel doors and, from the images, it looks like they also serve as the entry and exit while in balcony mode.

While this is a concept that will likely never be more than a computer generated design, it shows automakers are indeed looking to the future.
