Piafloss, For All Your Pierced Ear Flossing Needs!
You read that right, “pierced ear flossing”, and if you didn't know you needed to floss your filthy ear holes, well, you do now! Thankfully, using Piafloss (in two pleasing ear-romas) can save you from the eternal humiliation of having some tall, dark and handsome type lean in to whisper sweet nothings in your ear... only to instantly recoil in shock and disgust.
Hyperbole aside, there does appear to be a need to keep the artificial holes in pierced ears clean and sweet-smelling to boot. How would I know? From Wonderworks' Piafloss product page, of course!
Here comes the pseudo-science: one's ear holes are liable to become inflamed due to an influx of sweat, soap, shampoo and associated dirt and debris. In the worst case, this can result in dermatitis accompanied by pain, redness and an unpleasant odor.
Since nobody wants to deal with that, regular ear hole flossing with Piafloss will save the pierce-ee much time and trouble. The product page features a short video explaining how to use Piafloss but for those who are either squeamish or happen to be eating (or both), here's the gist of it.
Pluck a single Piafloss strand from the handy holder and dip it in the accompanying well of antiseptic “herb water” (Mint or Rose scented, your choice). Insert one end in the ear hole, then draw the strand all the way through. Now that wasn't so bad, was it? *shudder*
Each package of Piafloss contains 5ml of herb water and 50 floss strands with refills sold separately... what, you thought they were reusable? Do you reuse your dental floss? Grotty, grotty to the max! As for using Piafloss to maintain other, non-ear body piercings... OK, we're entering uncharted territory now and basically you're on your own.
