12 New Dog Breeds Created By Show Groomers!

You've heard of cockapoos, right?  A cross between a cocker spaniel and a poodle.  How about a pandapoo?  No, you can't breed a poodle and a panda, but you can groom the poodle to look like a panda... and several other creatures!

Animal photographer Ren Netherland of Clearwater, Florida travels the country in his own bus, to photograph all kinds of animals in all kinds of environments.  One of those environments is the creative grooming show, where groomers create extravagant art on their pet canvasses.

Here are 12 of Ren Netherland's photographs of recent poodle art and my suggestions for their new breed names....

A little background on the creative grooming shows...  The dyes used to color the poodles are not permanent and are applied with powdered paint that is sprayed onto the fur using blow pens.  The poodles are dyed before they come into the show ring, but all grooming and costuming are done in the ring in a period of only two hours!  Seems like it would be fun to see the groomers actually performing their art.

That's some weird looking poo...

Damn, and I've always preferred dog owners over cat owners... I may have to re-assess...

Thank god dogs are stupid and have unconditional love

Humiliated

This is right of there with Toddlers and tiaras. An idiot idea with a weak attempt to be passed off as art? They put art back into fart. Because this stinks!

Designer dog?!?

Just had to re-assess my estimates of the average IQ! My dog would not allow this!
