Proving That Size Matters: A Mega USB 16 Port Hub

Although this gadget won't be winning a prize for best looking tech product of the year, its functionality definitely makes it a winner amongst its competitors.

Brando's new tech product, the USB 16 Port super hub should be on your list of "gadget must haves". Equipped with its own power supply this powerful device can house 16 devices simultaneously. No more bending down and having to remove a device only to have to replug it in again.

Another unique feature of the USB Super 16 port hub is that it can be connected to 2 computers at that same time and you can switch the USB devices between the two.

Check out the specs on this usful gadget:

  • USB 2.0
  • 16-Port hub: Up to 16 hubs are provided for USB connection like printer, digital camera, card reader, MP3 player...etc
  • Up to 2 PCs can be connected to the hub and share the sources. PC can be selected easily with a simple switch (Two PCs cannot be used at the same time)
  • The power supply (22.5W) is built in so an extra AC adapter is not necessary
  • Voltage: 100V-240V
  • Dimension: 116 x 67 x 63mm (approx.)
  • Weight: 373g

One downfall of this particular product is the fact that when you connect the two computers together the cables look untidy. This minor hicup in design shouldn't dissuade you from seeing it obvious advantages, that being the ability to hook up a number of devices such as your thumb drive , camera, cell phone, printer etc. all at once, and not having to worry about having enough power to feed them.

If you think you need a USB upgrade you can get one online via Brando for $129.00.

Daisy Chaining

Hubs are inherently a daisy chain (you're only using one input on the computer itself). That said, you can daisy chain to your heart's desire, up to 127 devices.
