When Recycling Goes Right: Dress Made Of Phonebooks

Who would have thought that an old phonebook could be turned into a dress? Well Jolis Paons did, and went to work creating a dress out of the pages of old phonebooks.

Says Paons of the Paper Dress she designed and created for her Creative Processes class, "I pleated, stuck, sewed, and glued everything by hand."

That she is extremely creative is without doubt. I guess she is resourceful and definitely artistic too. Not to mention patient and tenacious. I can't imagine the hours of painstaking work that would have gone into this creation. She is a great photographer too, as is evident from her photo stream on Flickr.

I love the idea and the concept. Wish it were wearable...
